Yoga for teens

Group and private yoga classes for tweens and teens. 

Can't make it to these classes? I also offer one-on-one yoga classes for teens as well as more in depth movement + mentoring sessions 

YOGA 

The physical yoga practice is at the center of these classes, but is not the sole focus. Through the physical poses, teens are able to build strength and flexibility as well as increased confidence, patience, and overall health. Teens who practice yoga may

  • Experience improved self-esteem and confidence

  • Report improved ability to concentrate on school work

  • Experience Improved relationship to their body and body image

  • Develop of healthy, supportive relationships with yoga classmates

  • Improve their ability to manage stress and relieve physical and mental stress symptoms

  • Improve their overall health and positive outlook.

FAQ:

Who are these classes for?: Ballard class is fo tween/teen girls* (female identifying or non-binary). 

 

What should I bring?: Bring a yoga mat and water. If you don't have a yoga mat, one will be provided. 

 

Do I need to know how to do yoga?: No, these classes are for students of all levels and experience. 

What can I expect from these classes: The goal of these classes is to invite confidence, compassion, and community. We explore different types of yoga from vinyasa to restorative. Students have time to write in a journal or express themselves through art. Mindfulness and meditation are weaved into the practice. Classes typically end in meaningful conversation, a time for students to get to know each other, be vulnerable, and show each other support.

 Yoga has been shown to have incredible benefits for tweens and teens including increased self-confidence, stress management skills, decreases in anxiety, and much more.  You can find all of the benefits of yoga for teens here. 

Refunds: Refunds can be given up to one month before series start date less a $50 registration fee.
