Mother/ Daughter Yoga Circles- A Mini Retreat
"These monthly mini-retreats are an invitation for a community of women and girls, and a community of yoga teachers to come together. As a group, we will support each other, learn from one another, and share wisdom. "
What do I love about leading Mother/ Daughter retreats? Everything! Getting to know families and witnessing the love they have for each other. Spending time in beautiful places, doing yoga in the outdoors, on the beach, with Mt. Rainier in the distance. Eating delicious food in great company. Learning something new and unexpected about myself each time, and witnessing others unpeel layers of their own story to find pieces of themselves.
What do I not love about my retreats? They are over so fast! The weekends are always such a blur for me and it’s so hard to say goodbye. In those two days, we form such a special bond, becoming one big family of women and girls. We are vulnerable, compassionate, and so loving of one another. It’s an energy that I’ve seldom felt before, and rarely feel outside of retreats.
So, with that in mind, I wanted to create something that kept the retreat family connected throughout the year and welcomed new members who couldn’t dedicated a whole weekend to a retreat.
That is where the idea of Mother/ Daughter Yoga Circles was born. These monthly mini-retreats are an invitation for a community of women and girls, and a community of yoga teachers to come together. As a group, we will support each other, learn from one another, and share wisdom.
Each month will offer a theme, a specific style of yoga, and an activity. The lessons will dive into the areas that I believe both young girls, and grown women can never hear enough of. Messages of self-worth, confidence, and compassion. Learning to be mindful and manage stress, anxiety and big emotions. Expressing yourself through art, writing, and conversation to find the things that fuel your passion and bring you joy.
We all need reminders of our own magic, our strength, and how deserving we are of self-care and connection.
I hope you’ll join me for this amazing journey. Come for one month, or return over and over again. You do not need any yoga experience, just an open heart.
